Pagan Altar expanded Black Sabbath's vision of heavy riffs and foreboding atmosphere to make it their own, adding elements of British folk mysticism, storytelling and folklore into their music. While most early NWOBHM bands were chasing speed and aggression, Pagan Altar, like contemporaries Witchfinder General, embraces a slower, darker path.
This is the 2nd pressing of the cassette version and limited to 200 copies. It features an amazing 4 panel J-card layout designed by noted Canadian Heavy Metal musician, author, graphic artist, label owner and fest organizer Annick Giroux as well as an intro by Smoulder vocalist, Heavy Metal journalist and vlogger Sarah Kitteringham
